ANTI VEGETARIAN PROPOGANDA

During 2007 a series of disturbing advertisements promoting the eating of red meat were aired on free to air television in Australia. These advertisements were funded by the meat industry and featured Sam Neill, a prominent actor who gained some major roles in Hollywood Films ie 'Jurassic Park'. The advertisements claim that our early human ancestors brains only started to develop when we began eating meat. Before this stage we were monkey like vegetarians who lived in trees. Apparently we took a great leap forward after jumping of the trees and eating red meat. According to the advertisement our brains grew to the size they are today because we ate red meat. And in their words,'.... Red meat helped us come to be'. They claim we instinctively desire red meat and that it is a natural part of our diet. The advertisements always end with the statement 'Red meat. We were meant to eat it'.

If this ain't the biggest load of hogwash I've ever heard in my life. But it just shows how cunning these people are. They are trying to link human intelligence with flesh eating. Imagine claiming that our brain's grew bigger due to eating meat. If thats the case then Lions should have enormous brains. They eat up to 40kg's of red meat per sitting, but their brains are much smaller than human brains. Elephants don't eat any meat yet their brains are the largest of any mammal.

This is just the sort of anti vegetarian propaganda that is pumped out by one of the industries that is responsible for the ongoing destruction of Mother Earth. The practice of grazing animals on a mass scale is not only hazardous to the environment, but this industry willfully slaughters millions of animals each year, adding to the already enormous karmic debt.  This karmic debt piles up and effects us all, whether we vegetarians like or not.

Advertisements like these are a form of mind control. The aim is to indoctrinate viewers from a young age and mold them into consumers of their product(s). They are being groomed for later life, when they have buying power. In some of these meat industry advertisements young school children are pictured learning about human development. Also certain embedded  statements are designed to indoctrinate the viewer. These statements needn't even be true, yet they are unashamedly stated and with impunity. The viewer then digests this lies, it becomes embedded in their psyche and consequently forms part of their philosophy.
eg. 'We instinctively desire red meat..........'  'Red Meat. We were meant to eat it.'

I doubt that Sam Neill is a vegetarian and I believe his shameless promotion of this vile industry deserves to be addressed. I encourage all vegetarians/vegans to boycott any films, television programs or any performances featuring or including Sam Neill. I also encourage you to send his agent a letter declaring your disgust and informing them of your action to boycott Sam Neill. I have drafted a letter you can download and send or you may write your own.  DEATH SHIPS

Thousands of sheep and other live stock are exported to the Middle East from Australia each year, however many do not make it. They often perish during the voyage upon what can only be described as Death Ships. The poor animals that do make it to the Middle East then face mass slaughter. This treatment is similar to Nazi Germany and it's concentration camps. It's mind boggling how humans can so quickly condemn any poor treatment of humans beings, yet enjoy a lamb chop or juicy steak without a thought about how it got to their plate.

STATISTICS ON LIVE SHEEP EXPORTS
1980  All 40,605 sheep perish in a fire aboard the Farid Fares Export Ship
1980  An outbreak of disease causes the death of 2,713 sheep on the Kahleej Express
1981  8,764 sheep perish onboard the Persia from a breakdown in the ventilation system
1983 15,000 sheeps die from exposure in Portland feed lots while waiting to board a ship
1984  70 sheep die per day due to a breakdown in the ventilation system on board the Mukairish Althaleth
1985 15,000 sheep die of heat exhaustion aboard the Fernanda F
1990  The ship, the Mawashi Al Gasseem was rejected. It remained on water for 16 weeks before a country accepted its remaining sheep
1991  30,000 sheep die from heat stroke and dehydration due to poor infastructure in feed lot facilities in Kuwait
1996  67,488 sheep died in a fire aboard the Uniceb
1996  1592 cattle drowned when the Guernsey Express sank
1998  346 cattle died upon the MV Charloais Express due to inadequate ventilation, 50 more died in Jordanian port, 174 were injured or ill and subsequently rejected by Jordan and Yemen
1999  829 cattle suffocated due to a breakdown in the ventilation system on a voyage from Darwin
1999  300 cattle died were or destroyed due to injuries when a ship encountered a cyclone
2000  Two shipments of cattle to Korea were rejected when local farmers opposed imports 6 cattle were beatan to death while the remainder were held in quarantine onboard the ship until they were approved for slaughter in Korea
2002  99 cattle die due to bad weather onboard the Norvates
2002  880 cattle and 1,400 sheep die on the MV Becrux
2002  15,156 sheep died on various ships.
2003  5,000 sheep die onbaord the MV Cormo Express
